Moved by the classic beauty of 19th century fine art and architecture and its sense of sophisticated elegance - from the tiny interior feminine details to the expansive veranda - stylist LAUREN FIELD DESIGN worked with UNTAMED HEART PHOTOGRAPHY to capture the romantic and intimate nature of this traditional Victorian estate as two become one.
Lauren tells us, "We chose a softly hued palette of mauve and sage paired with natural elements and rich neutrals inspired by figurative watercolour paintings and antique tapestries. We were influenced by the beauty of the grand interior spaces that were filled with natural light, weathered wood floors, and baroque furnishings. The peaceful stone-walled gardens provided a lush setting for the gathering table.
We set the table with textured florals and antique brass candlesticks atop silk layers. The bamboo chairs were adorned with airy chiffon to catch the breeze. We chose antique silverware with crushed velvet ribbon, soft pink plates, and flax napkins for each place setting. The cake donned watercolour texture and tiny pleated mauve embellishments with a wooden stand.
The bride was dressed in blush hues and a lacy boudoir ensemble with simple layers, intricate details, and gold accessories. This look was chic and romantic with softly coiled hair and a cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of deeply hued blooms accented with plant dyed silk ribbon."
