When it came to styling this beautiful shoot, Canadian wedding photographer and Magnolia Rouge fave BRITTANY MAHOOD, was inspired by the strange and unnatural desert around her in the middle of the prairie province of Manitoba. Two hours from the nearest big city and a five mile hike leads you into the Spirit Sands of Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Soft gold folds of sand for miles. Playing off the delicate nature of their surroundings, Heather Page from ACADEMY FLORISTS created a stunning bouquet made entirely of dried lunaria -  a luminous plant, often referred to as 'the honesty plant.'

Brittany further explains "In keeping us honest, we decided to use a real couple for this session. Krystle and Justin have been married for 7 years, have two beautiful children and no modelling experience. They were perfect for our time in the desert. The second bouquet and centrepiece consists of combo and quicksand roses, broomcorn, italian pittosporum, bramblerberry, David Austen garden roses and wild clematis. When searching for the right gown, I finally found the perfect choice with this billowing tan, silk dress from FAME & PARTNERS. A softer take on gold, structured in all the right places and unruly in others. The shoot was rounded out with a simple, textured cake by JENNA RAE CAKES, which I chose to style with two options, the delicate greenery and also with wild lunaria cascading the side.
