Petrichor (n.) the scent of the earth after rain.

I love the concept behind this shoot from REVERIE SUPPLY. The beautiful still moments of a bride's morning are some of the most special and the way it's been portrayed in these images is truly beautiful. The idea of writing letters to each other is something I love. Imagine looking back over these in years to come, reminding yourselves of those precious memories. Everything about this is just so peaceful and I can't think of a nicer way to begin your wedding day! SWEET ROOT VILLAGE created some beautiful floral arrangements in the prettiest of muted tones, whilst the organic looking calligraphy is by SEPTEMBER LETTERS.

We were deeply inspired by the stillness of the earth after the rain, the lingering scent of the musky ground, the slowly moving grey clouds, the moment before the sun risesthe fleeting moment of a bride's morning. This inspiration shoot was inspired by all of these different elements that exude the message to be still. A bride who takes in her morning, reflects in solitude, takes moments by herself before she walks down the aisle as a bride. This shoot featured amazing vendors. The team at Sweet Root Village created a muted floral arrangement that was gathered together by the beautiful Silk and Willow ribbons. Colors such as soft blush, ivory, blues and wild greens were featured in this beautiful bouquet. Calligraphy was included in this inspiration shoot because we envisioned a bride who took in a quiet time by herself as she read her groom's letters. A moody texture was given to the calligraphy to continue the running theme that was effortless. The venue, Oatsland Plantation was the perfect venue for this inspiration as our bride' took her time in the garden house, where she spent her last moments before saying I do. We hope all brides will treasure the moment they take for themselves in solitude, in stillness, in waiting on her wedding day.
