There truly is nothing more quaint or charming than the English countryside. The narrow hedgerows, vast expanses of patchwork fields, the prettiest villages you ever did see - it's rural utopia at it's most idyllic! And I couldn't love it more. This charming editorial by JULIE MICHAELSON PHOTOGRAPHY is what dreams are made of! Styled by HOLDEN BESPOKE it was captured at FALCONHURST - a 700 acre country estate in Kent, south of London. We love the sweet wedding stationery suite by EVERAFTER PRESS which features old fashioned florals combined with modern typography.

Julie shared with us, "As a fine art wedding photographer I spend a lot of my time looking across the pond at my American peers who seem to have at their disposable the most incredible Californian light and breath-taking landscapes. This shoot was born out of me trying to shake myself out of a slump, to remind myself of the beauty and serenity present on my door step. Kent is referred to as The Garden of England - quintessentially English, surrounded by peaceful country gardens where life walks at its own pace. The stunning landscapes here are like nothing else you'll find anywhere in the world... quaint but not cliched, honest and real.

I wanted to create a shoot which was a homage to the beauty that is present on our shores. With the last of the Summer sun, on the cusp of Autumn I wanted to create something luxurious, authentic and intimate. I wanted the styling and couple to be modern yet classic and with a nod to days gone by. The bride's long sleeves and almost Victorian high neck coupled with the open back was exactly the type of tongue in cheek contradictions I was hoping for. The groom wears a slick tailored dark navy suit coupled with a tweed waist coat and mismatched tie, paying homage to a loveable English country gent whilst maintaining a nod to current trends with his unshaved finish.
