I love how inspiration comes from so many different avenues. The style of your weddings may be inspired simply by the location's beauty or by something meaningful to you as a couple. In the case of this beautiful editorial by ROMINA SCHISCHKE it was a song that triggered the beginnings of the shoot.

Melanie sets the scene for us; "It is one of those dark and cold winter days. The perfect time of the year to get cozy inside and celebrate an intimate wedding. Led by stylist and planner MELANIE SHARMA, the team worked with a colour and texture palette of blush, matte gold and blue with velvet accents we combined a classic setting and the natural light coming in through the windows with wintery flowers and modern pieces of gold.

With the beautiful song "Blue velvet" from Bobby Vinton in my mind, by the way one of the favourite songs of my beloved grandmother, I dreamt of a story about creating a shoot that has a romantic, old-world dreamy yet modern feeling. Wanting to incorporate blue velvet into our shoot, my heart skipped a beat when I found these elegant ALEXANDRE BIRMAN Sandals.

We collaborated with the super talented florist Simone from ROSMARIN & THYMIAN, who created gorgeous floral art with a range of beautiful and lush florals in various neutral tones of blush, cream and white. Keeping with a refined aesthetic, we went natural with a touch of elegant shades of blue for our table setup and enhanced it with neutral linen napkins, vintage candlesticks and a flowing runner made of luscious velvet.  The bridal gown from LIGHT AND LACE provided a modern and minimalistic approach which was perfect for the shoot. The dress with its long slit, open back detail and gracious train embraced the beauty of the bride."
