Oh my goodness we could not love this simple intimate couples session by MEGHAN MEHAN more! As a photographer I can imagine it's quite an honour to be invited into someone's home and have such a personal view of their lives together and even more so to be able to document these meaningful moments.

Meghan tells us, "Kelsey and Rob have been married for almost four years. Together, they have made a home in the Old City neighbourhood of Philadelphia that truly echoes the sentiment by William Morris: "Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Their space is a reflection of their love for each other and their love for family and friends, incorporating many unique and personal items that hold meaning for the two of them. For their session, we wanted the images to reflect the simple moments that they share together on a daily basis; in essence, their "extraordinary normal". Rather than insert myself in the moment, my role was to act as an observer: to notice their interactions as they shared coffee and conversation together; capture the nuances of how they look at each other, how they sit together, and even how they sing to each other. I truly believe sessions like these to be the most beautiful: depictions of real life rooted in everyday moments that call us to acknowledge those simple, yet significant, things we do to create a home with and for each other."

These absolutely beautiful images by MEGHAN make me want to have a similar session (for those of you who know what I'm like when a camera appears you'll be laughing hysterically at the mere idea of me considering this!). If you are looking for a way to document your 'ordinary daily life' I hope you can take some inspiration from this.
