Warmer weather is just around the corner here in New Zealand and the summery vibes of this California editorial by B MILLER PHOTOGRAPHY have me excited - it's been a long rainy winter y'all! Styled by Dani from HAUTE FETES the earthy and organic colours were dictated by the olive grove at RANCHO VALENCIA RESORT & SPA. They added pops of colour with summer ripened cherries to the combinations of taupes, stone greys and mossy greens and accents of wood complemented the natural elements of the resort's Mediterranean setting. Organic paper goods by PLUME CALLIGRAPHY and a stunning ANNA CAMPBELL bridal gown from THE DRESS THEORY are a couple of our favourite aspects of the shoot - not to mention a drop dead gorgeous bouquet by CARLA KAYES.

"The Olive Grove at RANCHO VALENCIA RESORT & SPA in Rancho Santa Fe, California, with its verdant sea of curving slopes blanketed by olive trees, was our inspiration behind this summer influenced shoot. With a muted palette, we kept the details to a minimum, allowing our natural surroundings to shine. We wanted the tone for our editorial to be romantic and intimate, almost dreamlike, a snapshot into an elopement that could equally be set in Southern Spain versus Southern California. As the shoot came together, it became a study in texture: her wedding gown with intricate hand beading and light as air chiffon; handmade ivory paper, delicately calligraphed; a table set with heirloom silver and cut crystal, topped with linen that we complemented with tone-on-tone cheese cloth napkins, wrapped in vine. Moss aged urns were filled with meandering ivy, fragile, garden roses and parrot tulips in deep red and ivory, white lilac, cherry coloured peonies and ranunculus, and delicate hellebores. And, a simple two-tiered cake finished in a soft ivory and capped off with a delicate jasmine vine completed our shoot."
