I am such a fan of the work of Utah based photographer KANDICE BREINHOLT and am delighted to share this beautiful Autumn wedding with you today. In fact it was the season itself that inspired Holly & Callan's wedding. Wanting to stay true to the time of year they incorporated rich jewel tones and seasonal flowers and foliage to give a warm, woodsy feel. The results are nothing short of spectacular!

HOW DID YOU MEET? We first met while breaking into an abandoned mental hospital in Provo with friends, but didn't start dating until a few months after that.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Callan proposed while we were visiting some friends in San Francisco. One morning, the two of us went on a walk to the Palace of Fine Arts. While we were touring the grounds he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was very simple and sweet.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: My mom is a talented seamstress and I always knew she would make my wedding dress someday (she made her own when she married my dad). It's funny how much my original plan for the dress changed as we shopped for fabric. In the beginning, I didn't want any lace. But after visiting Tissu fabric in Salt Lake and finding some beautiful beaded lace, the entire design for the dress changed.

ANY DIY ELEMENTS? Yes. Quite a few. I hand-lettered our invites and all the signage at the wedding. My mom and I made some geometric light pendants out of straws (thank you, pinterest) and instead of pictures frames, we fashioned wooden blocks with slits in them to hold photos of Callan and I.  My mom also made ALL of the bridesmaid's dresses. Go Mom!

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: They were incredible! I wanted something whimsical with a deep wintery/autumnal color palette. What Ari & Ris created for me was absolutely perfect. They managed to make kale, dahlias, evergreen, and roses look like they were meant for each other. I also loved the mini pinecones in all the boutonnieres.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: It's so hard to choose. Probably my dress, because it was hand-made by my sweet mother.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Everyone is so different so it's hard to tell others how to plan their wedding. But to me, it was important to keep the focus on the actual marriage and what that meant, rather than the event. Marriage is a lot more than a wedding, and keeping that in mind helped me worry less about if my wedding/reception was going to look perfect and spend less money than I needed to.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Callan misplaced my wedding band right before the ceremony. He was so distraught and angry with himself for a good hour and a half. After we exited the temple and started taking couple's pictures around the temple grounds, Callan sent his friends to search for it. Incredibly, they found it and the moment they brought it to us was captured in photographs. It was a wedding day miracle!
