WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BECOME A PHOTOGRAPHER? I have always loved taking pictures. I was that kid with a disposable camera in her hand all the time. But when I realised I didn’t have as many pictures of my loved ones who are now gone that’s when I knew I wanted to be a photographer and help people document the favourite people in their lives.
TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR PATH TO GET THERE. I took a film photography class in High School and I was hooked. I was then given a digital camera and continued to study photography in College. I asked people if I could take their photos and someone asked me if I was interested in photographing their wedding, after College and quitting my 9-5 it has been weddings full time!!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? Romantic, authentic and timeless.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WEDDINGS? To be honest, everything. But I love that it’s a day where everyone the couple loves come together and celebrates them all in the same place.
SHARE YOUR FAVOURITE IMAGE WITH US AND TELL US WHY. This image of my clients at their wedding in Big Bear Lake, CA. It was my first wedding as a full time wedding photographer and including film in my first wedding. It just reminds me of such a great accomplishment and that’s why it’s my favourite!
CAN YOU RECALL YOUR FAVOURITE WEDDING EXPERIENCE? When my bride and groom took the time out of their wedding to thank their family and friends, but also to thank me and my team for all of the help I provided them along the way to their wedding day.
ASIDE FROM FAMILY & FRIENDS, THREE THINGS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT? The gym, my lululemon align leggings and coffee.
WHERE WOULD WE FIND YOU ON A SUNDAY MORNING? At home with an iced coffee.
HOW WOULD YOU SPEND YOUR IDEAL DAY OFF? I love my sleep, so I’d wake up whenever then grab some coffee and hangout at the pool, the lake, or at home with my dog.
