We love an engagement shoot that celebrates the simple things in life; the every day moments that make up your day to day relationship. Charleston wedding photographer HANNAH ALYSSA captured Madison & Jesse at GIPPY PLANTATION in Charleston, South Carolina. Madison tells us, "I had a huge crush on Jesse all throughout middle and high school, but he had a girlfriend and was two years older. I have his named doodled all over the diary I used to keep and remember telling myself to be patient and one day we'd be together. Long story short, I worked my charms on him when we were put in the same art class and he asked me out - only five short years after meeting one another. Jesse proposed while we were on a fall trip to NYC! During a morning walk around Central Park, we found a quiet spot to sit and Jesse pulled out his phone and handed it to me, saying "Just press play." He had made a video to document him getting the ring, asking my dad, keeping it a secret from me, and included a slideshow of us throughout the years. With us both in tears from the video, Jesse got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We got to spend the rest of the weekend in my favourite city eating amazing food, exploring and celebrating!"

A huge thank you to Charleston wedding photographer HANNAH ALYSSA for sharing this sweet engagement shoot with us today. Hannah is a valued member of our VENDOR COLLECTIVE. Hannah takes an editorial approach to her weddings, with attention to detail and a passion for storytelling. "Shooting film requires me to slow down, be fully present and photograph with intention. I am passionate about capturing genuine love stories and inspiring destinations just as beautiful as they are in the moment, and film allows me to do just that."
