A small, intimate engagement ceremony with family and close friends is fast becoming the norm in Indonesia due to Covid-19 restrictions. Gone are the days of grand celebrations with concert-like stage and thousands of guests. The ceremony captured by Indonesian wedding photographer GAILLARD MATHIEU was held in Malang, a relatively quiet and historical town in East Java, hometown of the bride to be. The couple could not have picked a better venue for the start of their journey, a pre-WWII colonial building which has stood the test of time. This kind of affectionate affair shines more light on the essence of the whole proceeding, the couple themselves.
