We are quite partial to a mountain wedding here at Magnolia Rouge... in fact they might even be our favourite kind of wedding if we were really being honest! Bonus points if it's in the fall surrounded by exquisite foliage like this Telluride celebration of Alex & Kevin's captured by Telluride wedding photographer LISA MARIE WRIGHT. The couple wanted to have a classic black tie wedding with an intimate group of family and friends and being that the groom's family has owned a cabin about an hour from Telluride for many years, the area is very special to them. And of course you simply can't beat the backdrop at San Sophia overlook! With planning by TELLURIDE UNVEILED and beautiful florals by BRIDAL VEIL FLORALS everything was in place for a stunning celebration.

HOW DID YOU MEET? We met at a wedding of mutual friends.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Kevin proposed on Christmas morning by wrapping the ring box and hiding it in the Christmas tree.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I went to boutique in Charlotte with some friends and family. I had tried on 100 dresses, but none were what I envisioned. We were about to leave, but had one left to try from our selection, and it ended up being the one!

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Neutrals like white/pale pink. I wanted a neutral/classic palette, and Bridal Veil Floral absolutely nailed it.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: We would have to say the weather. It was the ideal fall day in Colorado, and the colours on the trees were at their peak.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Try to enjoy the process. It goes by fast, and you can get lost in the stress of it. And wine. Drink lots of wine.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? Being a destination wedding during a pandemic, it was most important for us that all our guests were able to travel and remained healthy. Having them there to celebrate in such a beautiful place with us was such a blessing.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: It's been delayed due to the pandemic. We had planned a trip to Tuscany for two weeks.

A huge thank you to Telluride wedding photographer LISA MARIE WRIGHT for sharing this beautiful celebration with us. Lisa has spent the last seven years focusing on photographing luxury weddings in Telluride, Colorado & beyond. "Having gotten married right here in Telluride's Elks Park, and engaged on the gondola, I consider it the highest privilege to be able to capture life lasting memories for couples who truly appreciate this spectacular wedding location nestled in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado."
