Lauren and Andy's floral filled wedding was out of a dream! Captured by Arkansas wedding photographer ERIN WILSON, there were florals as far as the eye could see and it had all the guests in awe. The couple wanted the primary focus to be the florals and the florist SILKS A BLOOM certainly hit the mark on that. Their Arkansas venue OSAGE HOUSE offered them the chapel they wanted and the option of having the reception at the same location.

The bride loves to ride horses so they incorporated a tiny beautiful detail on the invitation suite of a beautiful stamp with a horse which was then replicated on the guests seating chart. The soft touches of floral patterns in the brides dress, the linens and all the florals everywhere gave the day such a soft dreamy organic feeling in such a modern space.  A touching moment was when the bride and her sister opened up a box with their mothers wedding gown and remembered their mother on Lauren's wedding day as their mother has passed away. It was very touching. For the ceremony the chapel was adorned with floral arches which was the most beautiful space for Lauren and Andy to say their vows and start their lives together. During the reception they danced away to the most fun band with a cold sparx show and all their friends and family.

HOW DID YOU MEET? We were an office romance. We met while working at Collective Bias (a social media marketing company) while living in Arkansas.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Weeks up to the proposal, Andy would say keep XX day clear, I have plans for us. One of those nights in August, we – along with our two Bernese mountain dogs – drove to south downtown Seattle, walked in a nondescript building, loaded ourselves and the dogs in a helicopter outback of the building and flew around Mt Rainer, landed on a ridge, had a picnic, Andy proposed, we loaded back into the helicopter, flew over our house and then headed back. It was amazing to have our dogs participate! Upon returning home Andy had invited all of our friends over to celebrate – luckily, I said yes!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I had a really hard time picking out a wedding dress. I ultimately found my dress at a second-hand store. I loved that it was simple, elegant and so comfortable!

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: We wanted something extravagant in quantity and size, and romantic in colour, SILKS A BLOOM knocked it out of the park. They put our florals together beyond even our high expectations.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: The band stage was covered in greenery and florals – combined with cold spark special effects, it was a unique touch that really tied the stage into the rest of the reception style.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Plan the wedding that you want to go to. Focus on what you want and what makes you excited! Enjoy the wedding planning process – and hire a wedding planner. Natasha deserves all the credit for making our wedding what it was!

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Bride: Having all of my friends and family watch me marry the man of my dreams.

Groom: So many to choose from! My favourite moment is after the ceremony once all the photos were taken, Lauren and I finally got a few minutes alone while the guests made their way to their seats at the reception. It was the first time alone as a married couple - and the first time we got to finally just sit and be with each other without worrying about wedding planning. It was the perfect prelude to the reception party.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU AND YOUR PARTNER? I wanted amazing florals and Andy wanted a fantastic band! We tried to make those to components the highlight of the wedding.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY? We set up a memory table to honour our family members that were with us in spirit, including the mother of the bride and grandparents of both bride and groom.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We mini-mooned in Charleston SC and are booked for a 12-day Antarctica Cruise in February 2023. Whilst in Charleston, we spent most of our time wandering around to different restaurants and cocktail bars while taking in all of the history and culture of the city.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE OR DO DIFFERENTLY? No! We loved every detail! We just want to do it all again.
