Elayna and Kyle’s love story is one beyond borders, so it made perfect sense to hold a destination wedding in Lisbon. Returning three years later they had this beautiful anniversary session with JANINE LICARE in the colourful vibrant streets of Lisbon.
Elayna, originally from the US, met Kyle while attending art school in South Africa (where he's from). After school, they moved to the East Coast and, not long after, were ready to make it official. His grandfather is from Lisbon, so when choosing a destination for their wedding, Portugal was an easy choice.
Janine tells us, "What better place to photograph their anniversary session than the magical city where they said their vows. We started the session at the beautiful ruins of the Carmo Convent in the Chiado district, and then strolled through the carless side-streets of Bairro Alto, exploring the pastel-coloured buildings and tiled walls. The outfits they chose tastefully complemented the colour palette of the city. Her soft pink dress mirrored the neutral tones of the ruins of the Convent and the pastel-painted buildings. Her black dress was the perfect contrast to the white cobblestone sidewalks and the railway of the funicular- a defining feature of Lisbon.
