THE PLAZA HOTEL in New York is refined elegance; classic and chic. Many New York City couples have opted for an upscale elopement with a penthouse at the Plaza. Captured by D'ARCY BENINCOSA and styled by TYPE A SOCIETY the day started at the Penthouse getting ready in the gorgeous marble bathrooms. Then out the door as the couple had the first wedding of the morning at the New York City Courthouse. With huge pillars and a staircase unlike any other in the city..the couples friends lined the steps to celebrate the newlyweds with biodegradable confetti from a small shop in England. The slightest breeze swirled the confetti around our loving couple and the celebration is off! The couple gets their formal portraits taken in a park near the courthouse as the guests head off to a luncheon at a local organic restaurant.

The bride and groom opt for Kennedy inspired classic wedding looks. A long slip dress with a Lily of the Valley bouquet and a floating veil. The groom is classic in his black tux. Later everyone gathers on the balcony for champagne, cake cutting, and a celebration that lasts into the night. The bride slips into a chic and modern tuxedo dress and four inch Jimmy Choo shoes and a veil that is reminiscent of the Graduate. As the evening ends, the bride slips into wedding lingerie designed to perfection by Anita at GIRL AND A SERIOUS DREAM.

Regal. Royal. Classic. Timeless looks throughout the day, a penthouse to play in (with signature floral wallpaper that serves as a backdrop to the beautiful cake) and a balcony with a stunning view of the city skyscape. The perfect way to elope in an urban environment.
