Colorado Engagement Session With Adorable Pups

Adorable engagement session alert!! As a girl who's obsessed with their pup I really wish I had some images like this with our pup Charlie � and I'm pretty sure Charlie would LOVE to wear a floral wreath like this! (it's not too late I know!!). Emily Dorman from ALP & ISLE, flew out to Colorado to capture this sweetest of sessions with Amy & Jesse who are having a destination wedding in Florida shortly. Emily tells us about the day�

�Amy and I styled and planned their portraits for months! We tried to incorporate as many personal details as we could. Jesse is quite the romantic and he has a vase in their living room that he fills with blooms for his bride everyday. Sometimes a bunch, other times a single bloom, but the vase is never empty. We knew we needed a wildflower inspired bouquet and that is when Jenny of Sugar N Stems and Angela of Hemstitch Vintage jumped on board to help style the perfect session for these two! They also wanted to include their beloved dogs, so Jenny made both of the pups floral neck wreaths! We took lots of twirling shots, because that is another romantic gesture that Jesse does. Everytime they are just walking along he will random twirl her. Umm, swoon. So we had him twirling Amy until she was dizzy and laughing! The day of the session, we were faced with rain. Monsoon rain. It was the only day we had the stylings and the opportunity to include their pups so we pressed ahead and shot locally at Chatfield State Park IN the rain. They were such great sports and in all truth, it was my favorite part of their two part session. We had a blast with it, but I knew Amy would be missing the Colorado sunshine in her portraits so we met days later in the beautiful mountains of Evergreen, Colorado. We had to shoot in the high noon sun, but we found some romantic trails along the river and the two had fun dipping their toes, splashing and even crossing the river. One of my very favorite sessions to date! So many super special touches and an adorable couple!�
