Thankfully since we can't hop on a plane right now, we can live vicariously through the lens of Netherlands Wedding Photographer WIKE ZIJLSTRA with this divine shoot at CHÂTEAU ST. GERLACH. This amazing venue established in the south of The Netherlands was built around 1202, giving it a rich and varied history. Wike shares with us, "When you’re walking around the amazing property, you can see and feel that history and character. All the cozy corners give you more than enough opportunity to celebrate each part of your big day on a different part of the property."

The shoot began with a bridal boudoir session in one of the stunning historic rooms. BRUID & BEAUTY NEDERLAND created a romantic and sweet hairstyle which was then transformed into a modern ponytail paired with a chic gown from KEEP ITS FINE BRIDAL. Styled and planned by PERPLEXZ who wanted to combine old character with new style, the ceremony was held under some big trees and the dinner was planned in front of the Château. The history and romantic shapes came through in elements like the dreamy ceremony setting and the boudoir session. Whilst the dress is a more minimalist style and the stationery and cake design are modern, adding flowers and gold details added a touch of old and new come together perfectly into a unique design.

A huge thank you to Netherlands Wedding Photographer WIKE ZIJLSTRA for sharing this utterly gorgeous wedding inspiration with us! Wike photographs with both film and digital and always strives for dreamy and romantic imagery on your wedding day. "Looking for light, emotion, colours and beautiful compositions within a wedding day is second nature to me. Intimate outdoor weddings with lots of flowers have my heart. I love connecting with people and I find that key to great candid photos." Head on over to her portfolio to see more!
