Inspired by Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice this elegant shoot by ANYWHERE & SOMEWHERE takes us on a journey though this classic tale. Exquisitely styled by LACY GEARY it's based on happenings towards the end of the book when Elizabeth Bennet reluctantly visits Pemberly: the home and estate of Mr. Darcy. Her last interactions with him had been his proposal, her vehement refusal, and then Mr. Darcy's letter proving her belief of his character to be utterly false.

Lacy continues the story, "It is her visit to Pemberly that stirs her deeply and allows her to see Mr. Darcy for who he truly is. Pemberly is grand and more beautiful than one could imagine, but somehow it also retains the feeling of a home. Love abounds through the servant's stories of the family, the collected works of art, and the piano music gently gliding from a bedroom upstairs. Lizzie can hardly hide her feelings, as a flood of emotions run through her. As Elizabeth roams the house, her affections towards Mr. Darcy become increasingly tender.

Pemberly becomes almost a personification of Mr. Darcy's true character, and she is both enamoured and in wonder of the house and its owner. The book of course ends with the marriage of Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth, but not without continuous proof of Darcy's true character and the extent of his love for Lizzie.

The admiration that Elizabeth shows of Darcy is rarely portrayed in the wedding industry. It is often in fact the bride who is most doted upon (of course, with good reason!). However, we often downplay the role of the groom: often showcasing his love for his bride and little else. Using the timeless medium of film, we hoped to capture the essence of a woman's love for her husband and the things of his character that assures her she will be safe and cherished in his arms for the rest of her life."

I must admit I'm completely smitten with the beautiful paper goods by OWL POST CALLIGRAPHY - and of course the beautiful way that Lacy has styled it!
