Jordan and Ryan met one summer while working at the same grocery store. Not long after, Ryan moved to the West Coast for a job, but the pair were reunited when Jordan opted to finish her degree in Digital Photography in LA. Together they fell deeply in love with salty air, sun on their faces, sand between their toes… and each other. Four years later, on a rainy evening in Manhattan Beach, Ryan popped the question. The answer was a resounding YES! They held their wedding at the beautiful venue of HOLMAN RANCH in Carmel Valley and had SPOSTO PHOTOGRAPHY capture these incredible memories.

Planned by ENGAGED AND INSPIRED, the gorgeous bride tells us, "The inspiration behind my wedding style was my favourite colour blue, romance, underlying ethereal vibes, with a touch of rustic woods. Seeing my vision for the day all come together was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined."

"My father made the cross at the altar with old barnwood he salvaged. He also created the wooden boxes for the wildflower walkway at the ceremony, and made the seating chart frame out of old wood and chicken wire. My best friend did the calligraphy. I made the table runners for the reception with fabric in downtown LA.”

“Our personal vows were one of my favourite parts of the day, as well as having all my loved ones in the same spot (that will never happen again!). Another memorable moment was dancing with my dad during our father-daughter dance! I can honestly say there is nothing I would change. I tried to do my best at planning up until the big day, so that on my actual wedding day I could unplug and be fully a bride. That is the most important... let all the little things fade away and take it all in. It will be over before you know it!”

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Hire a wedding planner! I am in the wedding photography industry, and I could not have done it without Engaged & Inspired. I loved having their support and constant feedback on design decisions as well. Don't spend much time on DIY, just allocate more money to your floral budget. Spend more time enjoying the process and doing your best to be stress free! Also, have an unplugged wedding day, seeing the photos of everyone being present during our Ceremony meant so much!

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE OR DO DIFFERENTLY? I can honestly say no, I tried to do my best at planning up until the big day where on my actual wedding day I could unplug and be fully a Bride. That is the most important... let all the little things fade away and take it all in... it will be over before you know it!
