I'm spending my Sunday living vicariously though these images from Venice by New York wedding photographer KYLEE YEE. In fact it's making me want to add it to my itinerary next year when we visit next year - I've been twice before but I'm certain a third time is due!

SUNDARI FERRIS who directed the shoot tells us, "The careful chaos of the city is one that has captured all the hearts of those whom have visited. From the sounds of the orchestras at night, the singing along the canals and the buzz from the locals and tourists alike. Our particular story takes place right in the heart in and around the streets of Piazza San Marco and the turquoise canals captured by KYLEE YEE'S lens.

I first learned of Venice through Shakespeare. Even though he never visited the shores, Venice set the scene for epic love stories and turbulent conflicts. It was and is the hot pot of young culture clashing with old world tradition. Monet’s paintings of too showed the bustling floating city with its soft painterly colours, gentle waters and enigmatic atmosphere.

Our striking muse needs no embellishment or exaggeration. The simple design of her gown sets itself against the backdrop of Venice with all its colour, texture and fuss. Whilst Venice is madness around her, she is an air of calm and elegance.

She seeks a simple moment alone in the days before her wedding day taking herself to the quiet surroundings of central Venice and enjoying a traditional aperitif in a forgotten Piazza. She collects herself and muses for the days to come. For her wedding day, the simplicity of her bridal look stands out against the intricate architecture, from the magnificent vignettes of Chiesa di San Moisè to the canals busy with Gondoliers and their patrons. She is fashion forward and timeless. This is her last meander around the city she loves before seeing her groom.”
