An intimate setting, on the ocean front, luxurious details... what more could we want! Grand Rapids wedding photographers THE FOURNIERS were inspired by the beautiful venue LA VALENCIA HOTEL in La Jolla, California. They tell us, "If you are going to do an intimate wedding, this is the way to do it. Go all out and truly create an experience. It was like stepping into a secret enchanted garden overlooking the ocean. Truly an unforgettable and memorable experience."
The ceremony set up was in shades of blush, rose, and mauve with gorgeous ranunculus growing up the sides of the aisle. The bride's wore two looks - one for the ceremony and one for the reception - which were both beautifully detailed, each having an overlay element that really wowed the guests. Cocktails & tarts were served in the garden after the ceremony before heading into the terrace reception. The couple dreamed up signature his and hers drinks. HIS: Prickly pear mule. HERS: The Pink Lady from La Valencia (also the hotel's signature drink) perfectly matched the wedding Pantone colour palette.
Guests then headed to the terrace where they were greeted with the most gorgeous graceful garden tabletop, filled with lush florals, fruit, and candlelight! It was truly a garden romance dream come true completed by the golden glow of the most beautiful California sunset.
