Hailing from Jakarta in Indonesia, Sherrilyn & Vincent love to travel and have a keen interest in fashion and style so choosing to have a destination engagement shoot in Venice meant they could indulge in this pastime. TANJA KIBOGO took these beautiful images at some of this city's most iconic spots.
Tanja tells us, "I flew over from Germany and met them for lunch and started shooting on the Gondola during sunset. We continued with a sunrise shoot with an epic red dress in the morning. Venice is the perfect romantic city for a pre-wedding shoot or even a destination honeymoon shoot.
Sherrilyn and Vincent love visiting the whimsy of Europe for their vacations. Prior to their wedding in Bali, they decided to enjoy one last trip to the sights of Italy for this engagement session and I could not have been more thrilled to capture their love. We began our session along the canal as Sherrilyn wowed in a delicate, yet dramatic white gown with a beautiful train. We sailed on a Gondola (that is a rite of passage in Venice, is it not?), enjoyed a little treat of Gelato of course, and found ourselves marveling at the beauty of San Marco Piazza. One of my favorite images is a sweet little girl watching as the two shared a kiss… so endearing!
The next morning, we arose early for some sunrise photographs around the city. Sherrilyn wore a dashing red gown and Vincent looked dapper in a classic grey suit. I loved the contrast of the deep crimson tone against the cool stone colours in the city itself. Everywhere we went, others were enchanted by Sherrilyn and Vincent!"
