How to infuse pastel tones into your spring or summer wedding in the prettiest way

As we move into 2021 weddings are trending a little smaller and a little more adventurous when it comes to colour which stylists WILLOW & IVY EVENTS are absolutely loving. Seattle wedding photographer COURTNEY BOWLDEN captured this ever so pretty spring wedding inspiration which has been infused with pretty pastel tones throughout. 

As Alex from WILLOW & IVY EVENTS explains, "Gone are the days of old where you pick a primary colour and a couple of accent colours and keep to that theme. We wanted to reimagine this love of colour with a pastel, fine art edge. Erica of florist LEIGH & MITCHELL worked with a soft floral colour palette and built a dreamy design set at FABER FARM in Skagit Valley, Washington. A fan favourite detail of this shoot had to be the attire. The lilac three piece suit from ASOS worn by the groom was totally unique, fit the theme, and paired perfectly with the bride's flowy gown from ELEANORS BRIDAL which was complete with puffy detachable sleeves that are just to die for! The soft hair and loose updo created by JOHANNA HAIR & MAKEUP ARTISTRY pulled the look together. And check out those gorgeous rings from VALERIE MADISON JEWELRY! Both rose gold bands featured a funky twist; the groom's ring had a literal twist in it while the bride's nestled a diamond in a unique v shape.

The intimate ceremony set up featured blooms from LEIGH & MITCHELL and THE FLOWER FARM that really brought the garden vibes of our dreams. The shape of the backdrop was something we don't see too often at ceremonies and we are so here for it. Both ladies also created different but equally stunning bouquets for the bride. What's better than one bridal bouquet? Two!

We went for a modern classic tablescape with rentals from CORT PARTY RENTAL and a cream velvet linen from BELLA BOUTIQUE DESIGNS to allow for the gorgeous florals and soft classic paper goods from KRISANNA ELIZABETH. The floral drawings and soft yellow velvet bow were a perfect nod to the centerpieces that accompanied them. The furniture set up and the dinner chairs from WANDER EVENT RENTAL pulled a little whimsy into the shoot with brighter colours, playful patterns, and modern touches. Is there anything better than soft seating for cocktail hour relaxation?
