I love a good winter wedding although admittedly a winter wedding in Auckland is a little different to the snowy scenes you may imagine! But with cooler temperatures and softer lighting it makes for some pretty pictures, as you can see here with these beautiful photos by ESTRADA PHOTOGRAPHIC. Nate & Emma chose the Winter Pavilions at Auckland Domain for both their ceremony and reception, which provided the perfect backdrop for their first look and bridal party photos. Floral genius ANNIE OXBOROUGH created some beautiful blooms for all, and Emma wore a beautiful vintage dress that she picked up in small town New Zealand.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Nate proposed on June 28th at the Brooklyn bridge park, New York. We were on holiday with his family, celebrating his brothers 30th birthday. We strolled over the bridge in the New York Summer heat and once we got to the park we found a spot overlocking Manhattan and before I knew it Nate was on one knee asking me to marry him. We celebrated that night in New York City. We then chose this date to get married.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: My best friends, bridesmaids and I stumbled across my wedding dress on a chance visit to the vintage stores in Paeroa. I loved everything about the dress from the silhouette to the beautiful embroidery and subtle beading. When I tried it on, it fitted like a glove and I knew it was meant to be mine. We had the very long train taken up to a more reasonable length and after a dry-clean it looked brand new. It felt amazing to wear and I am still so in love with my dress.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Our colours for the wedding were white, green and copper, which was inspired by the colours of the winter gardens. The copper represented the brick walls of the gardens. Our florist was amazing! Annie Oxbourough is an amazing florist and stylist. She created our beautiful table arrangements, bouquets and buttonholes using a mixture of in-season winter white flowers, mixed with accents of greenery. She wrapped copper wire around the bouquets and buttonholes that tied in perfectly with our table decorations and my rose gold heels. Annie also did a wonderful job of the table arrangements and made an amazing wreath that sat above the fire place and was the centre piece of the ceremony and reception room.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: That would have to be our photos that we could take away and will have forever. The story of our day was captured perfectly and we could not be happier with them.

WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? My advise would be to have trust in your vendors. All of our vendors exceeded our expectations and did an amazing job. If you have the right support and cover all your bases, everything will happen just perfectly.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Our most memorable moment was seeing each other for the first time in the winter gardens and having our best friends their to celebrate that moment with us. It created our most favourite photos.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY: Nate surprised me with diamond earrings on the morning of our wedding and wearing them felt very special. Also I wore my mothers gold cuff bracelet that I have always loved and had my eye on.
