Gorgeous bride Alexandria had a vision for her wedding day; classic, romantic, and elegant. And these images by Charleston wedding photographers THE HAPPY BLOOM show that they achieved just that. Getting married on the property where her great grandmother once lived made it all the most special. Planned by PURE LUXE BRIDE it features florals by PETALOSO which consisted mostly of big clouds of baby's breath adding to the romance. The bride tells us, "Our wedding planner, photographer, and everyone else involved did the most amazing job creating magic. When it comes to colour, I am what some would say pretty simple! I prefer neutrals over loud colours so I went with classic whites. Getting married outdoors in a beautiful setting, I felt that not much was needed to be added to the natural greenery.

The moment I remember the most about our wedding day was how all my nerves went away the moment I saw Chris at our first look. Everything felt perfect in that moment and I knew whatever happened thereafter, didn’t matter. Not even walking down the aisle in a little rain could dampen the day!

With Chris being in the NAVY our life is very mobile for the moment. We will be finishing up his current orders in New York and then quickly getting back to home base in the south, of course! My advice to couples wanting to elope- DO IT! Honestly, it’s truly the best decision we made. We didn’t elope due to COVID, it just happened to work out that way! I think sometimes people get so caught up in what your wedding is “supposed” to look like and that leaves many feeling flustered and stressed not to mention the endless amount of unsolicited advice you receive- hah! Let your day be all about love and the gift of marriage and I promise you all the rest will fall in line."

A big thank you to Charleston wedding photographers THE HAPPY BLOOM for sharing this intimate military elopement with us. Husband and wife team Justin & Amanda specialise in fine art wedding photography with a Southern heartbeat. All of the soft dreamy film goodness - with a small Charleston twist. They focus on images that put emotion and happiness at the forefront. "We want to capture you in your happiest, natural moments from beginning to end! Our goal is to photograph a wedding with authentic intention and genuine emotion." You can see more of their work in their portfolio here.
