The colours in this Mexican Wine Country wedding by Megan Sorel are so divine! Even before they began planning their destination wedding, gorgeous bride Azure knew she wanted a �bohemian chic wedding with a touch of vintage�. There was a hint of the 1920s with natural elements and soft colors ensuring it had the romance the couple desired. Choosing La Villa De Valle � a boutique hotel and winery � as their wedding venue, offered them the perfect location as well as great wine and food. The ceremony was made all the more personal and emotional by the fact that one of their best friends officiated and guided it.

They had some drop-dead gorgeous florals designed by Merijam Roelofs at Rose and Camomile that incorporated the texture & wildness of the outdoors but still retained an element of soft romance. For the bride's bouquet, pastel-hued peonies and garden roses were used with touches of succulents for texture. As for the sweetheart table, Merijam created a real statement piece with a lush table runner reminiscent of a wild garden featuring pastel colored roses, stock flowers, lisianthus, tuberoses and native wild flowers from the valley of Guadalupe.

How did you meet? Noah (my husband) had just moved to San Diego, and moved into a high rise across the street from where I worked. I had taken a position as a bartender, helping to open my good friends bar. During the summer afternoons, Noah and his good friend Matt would spend their time at my bar working to get out of the house. The first time that my husband and I saw each other, there was true moment of recognition. He insists that he knew the moment he saw me that he knew that there was something strange and magical there. In the weeks to come we ran into each other while out, and the spark was still there. He then asked me over for dinner and made me the best puttenseca pasta I have ever had. We fell asleep under the stars in his hammock and I have been by his side ever since.

Tell us about your proposal: Noah and I were coming up on our four year anniversary and he surprised me with a trip to europe. We started our trip in Madrid, Spain and drove up the Costa Brava � the east coast of Spain. We spent our days exploring Spanish beaches, Moorish castles, and the streets of Barcelona, falling deeper in love as we went. We then took the train through France, stopping in Toulouse, and ending up in Paris. On the very last day of our trip, it was our four year anniversary. We went to the Louvre, walked the streets of Paris, and ended up in the very finest Mexican restaurant in Paris. Being from San Diego, the thought of margaritas and guacamole sounded perfect. After anxiously waiting for two weeks on this romantic trip through Europe, he pulled the ring out of his pocket in his jeans and asked me to be his wife. It was perfectly �not planned'� so us. I guess the tequila gave him the courage he needed... we were married exactly one year later to the day in Mexico.

Tell us about finding your wedding dress: I found a boutique in Del Mar, San Diego so I went to try on dresses with my sister and mother. While we were there, I picked up a couple of Jenny Packhman dresses off the rack, and I fell in love. With it being the first time trying anything on, and the dress I wanted being over my budget, I did a little research and found a wedding boutique called Glamour Closet in Los Angeles. When I walked in there was a Jenny Packhman dress on a mannequin right at the entrance. It wasn't the same dress, but it was from the same collection with many similarities. It was on sale off the rack. My girlfriends and I all agreed that this was the right dress and I said yes to that dress!

Favourite detail of the day: As a part of the ceremony, Noah and I asked our Mother's to �give advice' on how to best deal with a love for their own son or daughter. Both Mother's spoke with sincerity, humor, and love. There was not a dry eye in the house.
