Venice tops the polls as Italy's most romantic city. So, when the idea of a styled photo shoot came about, Tuscan wedding photographer GABRIELE MALAGOLI did not have any doubts... it had to happen in Venice.
"The foreign couples that aim to have a destination Wedding in Italy still cherish long-held concepts of luxury - such as quality, comfort, and exclusivity, but through the prism of a new set of aspirations such as elegance, purity, grace, no excesses. We wanted to transmit these values through this editorial photoshoot.
The shoot took place in the heart of Venice at the recently restored 5 starred hotel The ST. REGIS VENICE - five minutes from the world-famous St Mark's Square. A combination of five 18th- and 19th - century palazzi, the hotel has views across some of Venice's most iconic landmarks and has been defined by the city's artistic and cultural legacy. Revolutionary in design, The St. Regis Venice merges the historic origins of its location with striking, custom interiors.
Planned by MY VENICE EVENTS , modern elegance was the main idea of the styling. A symbolic ceremony was held on the panoramic rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of the Venetian lagoon. Talented florist EVELINA FLORENCE FLOWERS created a hidden paradise in this cozy area, while the seated dinner was located in the Garden (on the big terrace on the ground floor very close to the water).
We had to make the most of the opportunity to capture our couple at St. Mark's Square. Therefore, after the ceremony and before the reception, our couple enjoyed a pleasant walk at Riva degli Schiavoni and danced in front of St. Mark's Basilica."
