I don't know about you but there's something about a rainy day wedding that I love! It's only natural in the lead up to your wedding to be checking the weather, hoping that rain isn't in the forecast, but when you get images as pretty as these by Atlanta wedding photographer A. THOMAS PHOTOGRAPHY, when the colours seem to pop even more thanks to the dull skies, I definitely don't think rain is a bad thing!

Anna & Josh started dating when they were in high school... fast-forward eight years later and these two are still as madly in love as those teenage sweethearts were. They have dreamt of their wedding day for years, but when Covid hit they thought it might have to be delayed. However, Anna decided that no matter what the wedding day looked like, she was determined to marry the love-of-her-life on October 17th. Good thing she has that determined spirit, because the week of her wedding dawned with a forecasted hurricane coming through, and a 100% chance of rain. She stuck to her guns, and had the dreamiest ceremony where it drizzled and eventually poured down rain-soaking the bride and groom but not diminishing their love one bit. Held at DAISY HILL in Fayetteville, Georgia, the skies cleared for their portraits before the weather got even crazier-with tornadoes all around the county and a downpour for hours after. These two never lost sight of what was important, though-that the love they share for one another is what has kept them together all of these years... rain or shine.

A huge thank you to Atlanta wedding photographer A. THOMAS PHOTOGRAPHY for sharing this beautiful inspiration with us. It will not always mean that everyone is looking at the camera. However, it will mean that 10 years from now, when that groom is a new dad, or that bride is showing her little girl the great-grandmother she never got to know, those memories will still be tangible. And real. And messy. And beautiful." You should also check out this A Timeless Elegant Georgia Plantation wedding at Vinewood Stables by her or this interview to get to know more about her.
