This shoot was inspired by Tuscany wedding photographer LIZELLE GOUSSARD's love for old world treasures… one of her biggest passions is spending hours on end trawling through all the antique shops that Cape Town has to offer. "Within this editorial I really wanted to capture some of these old world artefacts. I feel that it is so important within this modern world to have an appreciation for the timelessness and beauty of antiques, and it was through this idea that this shoot, ‘Old World Charm’ was born.

The venue, HAWKSMOOR HOUSE, is a working wine farm with a restored Cape Dutch manor house, this particular style of architecture is unique to South Africa. This charming venue perfectly reflected the concept of our shoot with all of its beautiful antique pieces that feature throughout the editorial.

LITTLE NORTH COMPANY created the most beautiful stationery set made from the imperfectly perfect pages of an antique book. She stuck with a neutral and organic palette, which runs throughout the editorial, including the tablescape and florals. I chose to incorporate natural raw wood elements and partially cover the table with a linen tablecloth from SET THE TABLE. Pippa from WILDE FLOWER designed the most gorgeous floral centerpieces and a bouquet with freshly foraged foliage and fruit."

A huge thank you to Tuscany wedding photographer LIZELLE GOUSSARD for sharing this stunning inspiration with us. Lizelle has a love for cultures and exploring remote locations all over the world and its this that inspires much of her wedding photography.
