So I had this gorgeous Parisian engagement shoot by KIBOGO PHOTOGRAPHY already lined up to feature this weekend, and had a short paragraph written. Then the events of Friday occurred and I couldn't post this without adding a few words. Although admittedly it's incredibly hard to know what to say that truly conveys how I feel. There is so much heartache in this world right now – Paris, Beirut, Syria to name a few – and so many people suffering in such hardship that it can often feel very frivolous to be sitting blogging about beautiful images and pretty lace gowns. However we also have to continue to live our lives and being that love is the complete opposite of what these terrorists stand for, I'll continue to do that. My heart truly breaks for the people of Paris – and of course the other cities who have had recent attacks, but it's always natural to feel a little more effected when it's a city you've been to and being that I was there as recent as July the scents, sound and vibrancy of the city are still very fresh in my mind. I know Paris will bounce back from this but it's a stark reminder that this world can indeed be a scary place at times and that life can be cruelly cut short.

With all that said, Finnish girl Maija & and Timothee – from France, choose to celebrate their love for this romantic city by documenting their engagement there. Maija tells us, My ring was made by Chanel's jewel designer. Tim's father works with jewels: he chose the sapphire and asked the designer made the ring according to Tim's mother's and Tim's wishes."
