We are delighted to share this gorgeous range of WEDDING DRESSES with you from REBECCA SCHONEVELD'S 2016 collection. Rebecca traveled from her base of Brooklyn to Colorado's Rocky Mountains to shoot this look book with RACHEL GOMEZ PHOTOGRAPHY. One of our favourites is the beautiful tulle skirt above with a ballet like feel to it.
Rebecca tells us a bit about the new designs, �As I designed my 2016 collection, I kept dreaming about a strong woman framed by God's country, in the kind of place where the realities of our day to day lives fade away and the scale and beauty of our Earth take command over of our emotions. The rawness of this landscape fills us with a depth of awe that feels not dissimilar to feeling deeply in love with your best friend. So of course it is the perfect kind of place to photograph wedding gowns!
For the mood and details of the collection, I was feeling drawn towards high necklines and long sleeves � sort of a sexy minimal take on the Victorian era. I was also mediating on delicate fabrics and layering of subtle colors which allow air and light to flow around the body. The gowns feature fabrics we sourced in France and hand beaded pieces we custom developed � I'm obsessed with high quality textiles! I love to take fine quality materials and cut them carefully but simply into a gown highlights the body and leaves space for the energy and personality of the woman wearing it to complete the design.
The hair and makeup artist, Talie from 3 Little Birds Salon, and our floral stylist, Prema Style, really brought my vision to life with their work. I felt the messy braided halo and deep purple lip was the perfect mix for this Prairie-Goddess-Fashion-Angel woman we were inventing. And the florals were all just to die for! So lush. And I can't say enough how Rachel Gomez's photography brought this dream into a place that was beyond my imagination � absolutely impeccable.�
