VIZCAYA MUSEUM & GARDENS is not stranger to the pages of Magnolia Rouge, but each shoot brings with it it's own sense of beauty. This one by Chicago wedding photographer BONPHOTAGE might just be one of our very favourites. This sought after and stunning venues has a rich history and impressive architecture in every direction you look. Lynzie of BONPHOTAGE tells us, "As we looked around the space and its story, descriptors such as timeless, elevated, regal, editorial, luxurious & passionate came to mind. We began dreaming of ways to showcase soft and timeless romance with some bold fashion-forward, couture accents, channeling much of the ambiance of the property - a truly regal experience."

She continues, "We were so excited to use the natural colour scheme of the space in a meaningful way, always adhering to the organic, outdoor elements and Old World, timeless elegance of the property. We chose neutral and subtle warm tones in the paper and florals that helped pull out the soft pinks and beiges of the architecture and added some subtle cool blue pops of colour in the styling and subtle paper details to accent and draw attention to the oceanside setting.

The couple was styled to perfection in their classic black tux with velvet lapels and high-end loafer shoes along with several stunning couture gowns by MONIQUE LHUILLIER & BERTA. These gowns each showcased the vast array of timeless style the luxury bride can take while still achieving the romantic aesthetic. The handmade jewellery and hairpieces by EDEN LUXE BRIDAL graced the portraits and reminded us of the unique and customised details that represent the couple’s love and style, no personal element going unnoticed. Our bridal models wore natural makeup and hair styles to represent their authentic and natural beauty and style while the groom remained sleek and clean shaven for a sophisticated look. The bridal bouquet and boutonniere were the perfect mix of subtle neutrals, greens and soft warm tones as well. Lastly, we chose to add bold floral headbands by LECHAT ROSES to the bridal styles for an elevated and editorial look we immediately fell in love with.

"As the couple walked through the intimate setting of the gardens and architectural ruins, we couldn’t help but envision an intimate elopement ceremony and several portrait sessions. The options are endless in this space depending on the variety and needs of the couple. The portraits showcased several of these incredible scenes found at the venue.

The mix of the elegant yet deeply moving aesthetic could also be seen in the beautiful vow books and name cards for an intimate dinner by MADDIE LAIDIG DESIGNS and added floral arrangements at the small fountain. To top off the celebration, we showcased a gorgeous cake in a luxe white tone, various tier sizes, and a styled icing ribbon cascading down the side. The perfect addition to any size luxury celebration.

All in all, this intimate wedding spoke to the irreplaceable details of each unique couple while adhering to the timelessness that we pursue in each design. We hope the regal romance of this day inspires other couples and professionals to continue to have confidence in the details of their story, personality, and situation, especially following the COVID-19 pandemic. We are forced to think outside of the box while returning to the timelessness of intimate settings such as these."
