No one does beautiful old buildings like the Italians right? Can you imagine getting married in the walls of a stunning Villa like this? The history of the place and the stories it could tell are so intriguing. And don't get me started on those hand painted murals they're awe inspiring! Lelia Scarfiotti gathered a fabulous team of wedding artisans to showcase the true wonder of weddings in the romantic Tuscany region, and with a setting this magical, you couldn't fail to fall deeper in love. Combined with the floral talents of La Rosa Canina, Lelia's photos captured the magic of this beautiful area. She tells us their thoughts behind the shoot

There are few places in the world that evoke a feeling of romance and seduction more than Tuscany. With its lush rolling hillsides, hidden pathways lined with cypress trees and a hypnotic molten sun which dips gently over the stunning landscape, Tuscany lays bare its heart and soul to anyone who is lucky enough to fall in love with her. Planned and designed by bespoke wedding planner and designer, Isla & Smith, the 'secret garden' concept was designed around the beautifully majestic Villa di Geggiano, nestled deep in the Chianti region. A place that really has to be seen to be believed, Villa di Geggiano leaves its guests in awe, with hand painted Italian murals, decadent antiques and truly spectacular gardens providing a traditional Italian feel. Travelling all the way from Florence, L'Arte della Torta designed and created a stunning 5 tier gold lattice wedding cake, which blended beautifully with the opulent surroundings of the villa location. In keeping with the 'secret garden' concept, elegant vines were entwined elegantly around the tiers, producing the perfect forest inspired creation. But it was the Zahavit Tshuba dress that made all of our hearts beat a little faster. Hand beaded shoulderstraps melted softly into a delicate backless bodice, as metres of soft blush tulle trailed behind, keeping everyone mesmerized in a trance. Make-up artist Lara Navarrini created the stunning hair and make-up look for our model, as soft waves teased the delicate crystal straps of her Tshuba gown. And as the hot Tuscan sun bobbed lazily over the hills, our table scape sprang to life. Beautifully hand written calligraphy from Betty Soldi adorned the setting, with La Rosa Canina pulling out all the stops using succulent berries to add to their mouthwatering peony florals.
