South African photographer IAN ODENDAAL describes this beautiful farm wedding of Carin & Tinus as one of his all time favourites and it's easy to see why with these gorgeous images. With a fresh and minimalist aesthetic it reflected this couples style perfectly. A remodelled milk parlour or milking shed provided them with a unique venue for their ceremony before dancing the night away at their barn reception.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: We went to Cape Town for a long weekend getaway in March 2014. Tinus kept saying that we should climb Lions Head on the Saturday afternoon, but due to me only packing sandals and skirts for the weekend - the plan had to change. Instead, we went for a sunset picnic on Signal Hill with the most beautiful view. When we found a spot to sit down, Tinus went looking for a place to set up the camera for a photo. Instead of taking the photo, he started recording a video and came running back, taking the ring out from where he hid it and went down on his knee - he captured the whole engagement on video. The rest is history.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: My wedding dress is from Stella York; it has a beautiful floral lace detailed bodice and becomes softer towards the bottom. I had no idea which style dress I wanted, but when I tried on my dress for the first time I really loved it and my decision was easy!

WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? I would suggest that couples choose a venue that suits their style, and which they absolutely fall in love with on the first visit. It's a big help if your venue also offers catering, d cor and flowers as an additional offering to their package - it was such a breeze to discuss all our ideas with only one person who knows the venue best. Monette from The Stone Cellar really made our vision of a natural, beautiful wedding come to life!

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Bride: For me, the ceremony was particularly special as we had the privilege of being married by my dad, his message was so beautiful and fitting to our relationship as he knows us so well. Tinus and I also wrote our own vows which had us (and most of our guests) in tears. Groom: My favourite moment was when Carin came walking down the aisle - everything stopped for that moment and I was ridiculously excited to marry the woman of my dreams.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TELL THE STORY OF YOUR DAY? Having lots of our friends at our wedding was such a blessing, they came from far and wide to be there and it was like having a reunion from our varsity days - the best!
