Australian based OY PHOTOGRAPHY sent us this lovely engagement session they did with Desmond & Jeanie on St Kilda Beach in Melbourne. They actually got married earlier this year here in New Zealand but before they did they had a little fun � especially Jeanie who got to dress up in a stunning Vera Wang ruffled gown!
�Desmond and I met in our first year of high school, we were in all the same classes. He asked me out when we were 13 years old (for fun obviously) and we were boyfriend and girlfriend for a couple of months. After our first year of high school, Desmond moved away and attended a different high school. We remained friends for a couple of years, and on 07.02.04, he asked me out again. We've been together since. We had our 10 year anniversary last year. I've always thought of him as my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him. He drives me crazy and our interest, hobbies and taste in things are complete opposite to one another. But we get along in ways that are quite hard to explain.
His proposal wasn't very extravagant but very sweet. It was before bedtime one night, I was sitting on the side of the bed (playing with my phone), and he got down on one knee, and asked if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. He gave me a little speech and I tried very hard not to laugh. He was very nervous. I've always wanted to do an engagement or pre wedding shoot, we both grew up in Auckland and our wedding is in New Zealand, and we wanted to document our Melbourne life and the places we often visited. Our move to Melbourne was a big turning point in our lives, and one that we did together.�
