It's pretty exciting when we get to feature the wedding of one of our vendors! Gorgeous Shanell of SHANELL PHOTOGRAPHY always knew that when her wedding day came she wanted it to have all of the elements that her own brides dream of and have it resemble what she loves to photograph. She tells us, "Getting engaged in December 2019 was absolutely a dream and so exciting! My fiancé and I had been together for seven years and to say that planning our dream day was something we were looking forward to was an understatement. Fast forward to when Covid-19 hit -  not only was I juggling my own wedding plans but 20+ bride’s wedding plans and multiple reschedules. Our original wedding date and original invites were for Labor Day weekend. After having 95% of my normal season reschedule we decided that we would move our plans to 2021, as did many others. As time went on we realised that there was no promises for 2021 and decided to plan a micro-wedding with only immediate family and close friends. We changed our date yet again to the Fall of 2020 as it is one of our favourite seasons and we also had to change our venue again."

Captured by EVERENCE PHOTOGRAPHY, the entire wedding was planned in two months! "When deciding on my micro wedding there were some things that I definitely wanted to make sure I still had. The florals were probably one of the biggest things that I splurged on budget wise, I truly believe floral is a huge make or break it on your wedding day design. I also still had my dream photographer (Jessica and Jordan of EVERENCE PHOTOGRAPHY) who is also a close friend of mine, who flew up from Florida to capture our day. The INN ON WATER STREET in Marine city is a beautiful boutique hotel with a small restaurant below and patio which is screened in allowing for all of the things that we were looking for to come in to play. Our beautiful yet elegant garden of a dinner truly was magical and every way. With only 36 of us we were able to visit with each and everyone of our guests. From the greenery hanging across the white lights of the ceiling to the floral and greenery down the walls every little detail came to together perfectly. We would not change anything about our guest count or having a micro wedding it truly was a dream come true and I highly encourage our couples that may be face with this kind of decision over this next year or even to just go for it. You can still have an amazingly gorgeous day that will be everything you’ve ever dreamed of."
