We have a fall beauty for you today courtesy of Portland wedding photographer CARLOS HERNANDEZ. This 'Fire & Wind' editorial was captured at the Mosier Twin Tunnels alongside the Columbia River Gorge. On a perfect fall day with some of the most vibrant coloured trees overlooking a calm, pristine river this Portland creative team gathered to bring this vision to life. "It’s hard to believe that just a few short months earlier this area was hit with one of the biggest forest fires in Oregon’s history. The tragedy of the recent fires led many Oregonians to believe our precious Columbia River Gorge would never be the same. Although that may be true, nature has a way of showing it’s beauty even through some of the darkest times. Our Fire & Wind bridal shoot perfectly highlights the beauty of the Oregon and represents our quintessential Pacific Northwest bride."

Carlos explains, "Kathryn of HEIRBLOOM FLORAL had a vision to highlight fall in its truest form. Using mostly all foraged greens, she created a unique floral installation designed under the Mosier Twin Tunnel. Her inspiration stemmed from a recent drive through the Columbia River Gorge where she spotted many beautiful abandoned tunnels. They looked so unique and romantic. The colour palette of yellow, orange, cream and burgundy was brought to life using maple leaves, smoke bush, pampas grass, cafe-au-lait dahlias, ranunculus and a variety of garden roses. The bridal bouquet complimented the pumpkin coloured gown designed by ELIZABETH DYE along with stunning accessories from ELIZABETH BOWERKIRSTIE WIGHT MAKEUP ARTIST went with a soft and romantic look to perfectly highlight our bride’s natural beauty.

Kathryn tells us, "A true storyteller CARLOS HERNANDEZ has captured the concept perfectly with his stunning photos and every image effortlessly represents our Fire & Wind bridal shoot."

Thanks to Portland wedding photographer CARLOS HERNANDEZ for sharing this stunning fall bridal inspiration with us today. Carlos creates photos that are full of life and express beauty in an honest way. For this reason, he chooses to photograph people in an organic nature with medium format film. "This allows me to slow down and turn my eye to detail in order to document moments that are meaningful. I am moved by sincerity, gestures of purity, and the disappearing value of the tangible."
