Each spring, couples planning spring and summer weddings are eager to see colour, blossoms and blooms in their inspiration. Led by Milwaukee wedding photographer 5TH PHOTOGRAPHY, this creative team decided to merge an editorial photoshoot with a limited guest list immersive bridal show and try their hand at the city's first experiential wedding show.

The designer, Renee of ELEVATED EVENTS, wanted to bring life and colour into the space. and they did just that and more with the end result being a vision of bringing the outdoors in. "Our vision infused the newly restored ST. JAMES 1868 wedding venue with texture, colour and blooming spring. But with such a special venue, that vision wasn't enough for us. We wanted to give the guests more; we wanted all of their senses touched throughout the celebration. We had ideas on how to make the space elaborate yet understated for a fine art feel and to immerse the guests. The question then became, could we pull it off? Each guest - brides, grooms, mothers and friends - were coming to not only see the work of the top vendors in the city, they were also coming to see them work. We put on a live wedding, with two beautiful people, for our Milwaukee and Chicago VIP wedding couples.

Guests arrived and entered through the venue's signature red doors that were adorned with a lavish blooming arch. In their first steps they'd enter into ceremony space that had guests seated at tables. There they'd see the sky-high magical blossoms adorning the tables paired with lower floral-only arrangements. Greenery was avoided to treat the guests to only the gentlest petals and blooms while infusing the space with pale tones that reflected maximum light.

Guests were treated to the tastes of an exclusive caterer, to the sounds of string instruments, to the textures of luxurious fabrics and papers, to the smells of spring flowers and to the beauty that the team captured in the perfectly designed event. The guests were head-over-heels for the endless details and personalised touches. The hand painted venue in their invitations, the floral-matched salads on their tables, there were so many small touches that made guests feel the grandness of the event. It was an extremely feminine ambiance with a warm colour palette that braided lilac, blush, peach, fuchsia and rose together. There were so many flowers, it felt like the spring couldn't wait to be any longer that it moved itself indoors.

The bride dressed in two gowns throughout the event - one of ethereal beauty with a modest cap sleeve lace bodice and a full skirt and the other gown with billowing layers of fun and excitement. The guests roared as the bride spun in the aisle, it was straight off of a runway. The groom wore an understated, tailored sleek tuxedo. He attire was refined and an easy favourite for the team and guests, alike. He was our very own 007.
