This beautiful lifestyle study from DONNY ZAVALA was captured at the ERICH MCVEY WORKSHOP as part of GINNY AU'S new venture, LOOM.

Donny tells us, The delicate styling details, the authentic setting and the real couple sharing a real moment in their own place allowed me to connect with the couple. The intentional setting created an authentic home feeling allowing for a natural process in capturing the moments of the "charcoal artist" and her husband. The shoot was intended to make the viewer feel present in "their" home the images really share an insight as to how the couple's home is laid out and what is happening in their home early in the morning. Shooting film naturally slows me down when composing a shot this shoot, not only asked for me to slow down, but that I would also capture the smallest details in doing so. Ultimately this allowed me to capture genuine moments in the story. For me authentic moments create and stir real moments behind the camera, when I connect in this way, it allows me to create the stories I want to create. Ginny Au, the stylist behind this shoot is a mastermind in directing, styling and creating authentic moments that will stir your inner emotions as a photographer.
