I am a fine art wedding photographer based out of Oakdale, California. I am so passionate about wedding photography, each wedding makes my heart skip a beat. I love the authentic emotion weddings portray and the trust that goes into capturing each love story, I am so beyond thankful for all of the couples I have met through this job!

I started my business in 2015 after I got married myself. I felt this gave me a lot of insight on how to help my couples deal with the stresses that come along with preparing for their wedding day! Since then, I have been apart of countless weddings and  I have watched my business bloom into something I am so incredibly proud of!

As of February 2018 I incorporated film into my portfolio and I never turned back! The way film reflects light, and the textures and skin tones, it truly took my breath away. Film is definitely my favourite medium and something that has also taught me a lot. Film taught me to slow down and not just click a button to get a frame, but to think about each frame and each photograph you capture. Everyday film helps me perfect this wonderful art that I get to call my job!

In a large industry with so many incredibly talented vendors I truly value the relationship that I build with each of my couples! In doing so, it is my utmost desire to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, so true and authentic emotion is documented! I am so passionate about what I get to wake up and do every day, and I would be so honoured to capture your and tell your personal love story.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… In reality my Sundays are low-key and spent at home with my little family. An ideal Sunday would involve brunch and lots of rest!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… I have never traveled outside of the country except for our honeymoon. But, I did get the wonderful chance to travel up and down the California coastline for an anniversary session and wedding within twenty-four hours and it was so fun. I started in Big Sur for an anniversary session  and ended in San Luis Obispo for a wedding. I loved every second of it!

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… somewhere in Europe! The textured old buildings and landscapes are so inspiring to me! Traveling to Europe is definitely on my bucket list.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… the relationships that you build with your clients! The trust that they put in you and then the reactions you get when you deliver galleries is like non other. The happiness and joy I receive in emails and how it brings back emotions and memories from that day, its everything.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… a counselor. I actually went to college to become a counselor for young girls and/or marriage counseling. But I quickly realized that wasn’t the right place for me as my business started taking off and growing. I dropped out my junior year of college and pursued my dream job.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… slow down and enjoy every moment! This process goes by SO FAST it will be over before you know it. Especially your wedding day. Try to soak in every little moment, every emotion and every laugh in.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… I am within hours of everything - the coast, the foothills, and about six hours from Los Angeles. There are so many hidden gems  California has to offer, it's honestly a photographer’s dream state.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… oh man this is a hard one. I love my wide open spaces and rolling hills of the country, the sunsets in the country are jaw dropping. But I also love the ocean breeze and mist in the air that comes with living on the ocean. I honestly can't decide!

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? The Holiday! I have watched this so many times and I never ever get tired of it.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… I’m not a big fish person, but when we were in Hawaii I had blackened mahi-mahi and it was amazing! I must also add that the pineapple in Hawaii is unforgettable.

THE PETS I OWN ARE… Kona our German Shepherd and our little rescue kitty, Gracie. These two are literally our world. We got Kona a month after we got married and she is my best friend. Her personality is the sweetest, she’s our gentle giant. And little Gracie.. well Austin brought her home one day, someone threw her in a dumpster! She is the cutest little cat and full of so much sass. I will forever grateful that she is in our family!
