Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… my ideal day off would be an open schedule with nowhere to be. I would get cozied up in a blanket and watch the sunrise on the beach with coffee and pastries in hand while my dog, Mr. Peabody, plays in the waves. I’d then fill my day with a good book and exploring local antique stores to see what hidden treasures can be found. And I’d end it all with a bath topped off with a LUSH bath bomb (my favourite)!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… traveling through the North Island of New Zealand. We roamed around the countryside, visited black sand beaches, went skydiving, and enjoyed meals with locals. This was the most relaxed and easy-going trip that made me want to spend more time exploring the roads less travelled.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Scotland! I want to explore the countryside and get lost in old castles.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… helping people preserve the most cherished moments of life. It’s a privilege to capture people’s stories during the biggest moments of their life. Every couple’s story is unique and I love figuring out how to make each couple’s story shine through their imagery.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… an architect focusing on historical preservation. I have always been fascinated with architectural design and the stories behind them.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE…focus on what will make/makes you and your partner happy. Your engagement season will fly by so spend time focusing on growing your relationship and worry less about the details of how everything will fall into place, that’s what your amazing wedding vendors will figure out!

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… I’ve had the opportunity to build a loving community that makes me feel at home. I’ve moved across six states in the U.S. and don’t really call any one state “home”, so having a solid community of like-minded people has been critical to making me feel comfortable and happy in my current city.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… The Netherlands or Sweden! I love the focus on slow living, work life balance, and family life.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? That’s a tough one...I would say it depends on my mood. But I always love - Matilda, Big Fish, all the Harry Potter movies, and Amelie. So that’s not one favourite...but they all make me happy!

THE PETS I OWN ARE… one sweet Wheaten Terrier, Mr. Peabody! Mr. Peabody is very much a part of our family and travels with us wherever we go. If you follow along with me on social media you’ll be sure to spot a Mr. Peabody appearance.
