Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… with my husband and toddler son, enjoying some fresh air in Southern California and maybe taking a dip in the pool or a trip to the beach in Ventura or Santa Barbara. We’d either hit up a fun place for lunch, or cooking a delicious, California-inspired dinner at home!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… too hard to pick one! But some of my favourite destinations where we’ve planned weddings for clients include Bali, Puerto Rico, Zihuatanejo, Mexico, and Maui. For indulgence, spending our honeymoon at the Four Seasons Lanai is a trip I’ll never forget (I can’t plan a wedding there!). Any trip that’s places an emphasis on food or wine also gets me excited – I’ve had some great culinary adventures in Italy and France

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Japan. Or Greece.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… how rewarding it is to work with couples. Hearing how happy they were after the wedding and how flawless they felt their wedding day was always brings me a lot of joy. I like to think we make the wedding planning process fun. Most of our business is referral-based, which is also a huge honour to know our past clients refer us to their nearest and dearest friends & family.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… probably something in communications, public relations or the media industry.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE…hire a wedding planner from the start! It will make the process so much easier and remove unnecessary stress, not to mention save you so much time and avoid costly mistakes.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… I recently returned to Ventura, California after several years in San Francisco. While I’ll miss having Napa and Sonoma at my fingertips, the Bay Area is luckily still very close by. But being back in my hometown, close to amazing wedding venues in Ojai, Santa Barbara and minutes from the beach is hard to beat!

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… California.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… the tasting menu with wine pairing at Dominique Crenn’s restaurant, Atelier Crenn in San Francisco was pretty off the charts. The craziest part is a guy took me there on a first date!

THE PETS I OWN ARE… one beautiful, sweet very fluffy cat named Lily.
