Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… Hiking! We try not to make it a habit, but my husband and I have been known to catch a glimpse of the mountains en route to church and just keep driving until we’re in them. What better way to worship than to experience creation in its fullness?!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… Our honeymoon in Costa Rica. It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Mini weekend getaways during autumn in the Rockies are a close second, though!

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Greece.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… The lasting nature of beautiful paper goods. My grandmother has her wedding invitation framed on her bedside table, and I love the thought that something I’ve crafted for a couple will continue to tell their story for generations.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… For the first 16 years of my life, I trained in the ballet studio religiously and thought that I would become a professional dancer. Now I find myself in a different kind of creative studio, where my artistry (thankfully) depends much less on my body type! I still adore ballet though, and watching The Nutcracker each year is the only way I can start the holiday season.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… Don’t forget to soak in every minute. Assemble a team of vendors you can trust, then leave the details to them! You’ve heard it but it’s true--this season will fly by and it’s packed with special moments you won’t want to forget or miss.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… #1- The mountains are 40 minutes away; #2- My neighbourhood is removed enough that I can always find parking at the grocery store. If you know me, you know that nothing stresses me out faster than not being able to find a parking spot!

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… Right here! We recently lived in the midwest U.S. for 8 years, and while it’s beautiful in its own way, Colorado is truly my happy place.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? For the movie itself and for the fact that I listen to the soundtrack on repeat: The Greatest Showman. I love musicals.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… Growing up, it was always a VERY GOOD DAY when we found my mom frying eggplant for eggplant parmigiana. And if we were lucky, it was a special occasion and the china and crystal goblets were set on the table. Heck, I still get excited about this as an adult!

THE PETS I OWN ARE… No pets, but we aren’t commitment phobes - there’s a sweet little baby coming soon!
