Emilie Anne Photography

Native Texan, wife to my high school sweetheart, and proud mom to my fur-babies, Ava + Dojo. I am the creative one in my family, from do-it-yourself projects to rearranging and redecorating our home every other month. When I found photography (or should I say when it found me) I knew my heart found what it was looking for: a way to help others express their most precious moments with the full spectrum of beauty that I experience.

I have become a storyteller by craft and photos are my medium. In order to tell your story I want to be more than just your photographer. I strive to understand you, earn trust and respect, and convey your strengths by building a friendship based on serving and communication.

When I’m not working I can be found with an iced coffee in hand (with cream and toffee nut please), exploring new cities, puppy dog cuddles, wandering the aisles of Target, and often watching Netflix while I edit.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… Sunday’s are spent at home with the family, whether is be walking to the local coffee shop or just hanging out watching movies.

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… our first trip to Northern California really stands out to me, it was the first big trip we took together. It is extra special because we took our engagement photos in San Francisco and fell in love with the west coast. We plan to make a trip out there every year to enjoy the beautiful views  and gorgeous California sun.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… I would love to spend a month or two traveling around Europe. I am so inspired by the architecture and culture. I would also love to learn French, it is such a beautiful language.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… I love being able to capture moments that people can cherish forever and I love meeting new people.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… this is simple, don’t stress about the small stuff and enjoy being engaged.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… growing up in Austin I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. The people are nice, the food is great, and the hill country has some amazing views.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE…  I always joke with Brandon, maybe in another life I would be a city girl living in New York. But for now I will stay in Austin.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… for our 9 year dating anniversary Brandon made chicken parmesan (my favourite meal) from scratch and it was amazing.

THE PETS I OWN ARE… we have a 7 year old Australian Shepherd named Ava and a 4 year old French Bulldog named Dojo.
