Washington D.C. Photographer

Hi there! My name is Angel Cheng, and I’m the owner and lead photographer for Feather & Fawn Photography.

I love capturing moments of love and joy, especially on a wedding day. Whether it be the moment when the mother of the bride zipping up the dress, or the tears rolling down of the groom's face when he sees his bride during the first look, or the touching moments of the father-daughter dance, these are all the precious memories that make your wedding day unique!

Wedding photography is so dear to my heart because I love seeing families and friends get together to celebrate the couple as they embark on a new journey together as newlyweds, to turn a new chapter of their lives together with love, and to vow a lifelong commitment to each other in front of their loved ones.

The idea of being there not only to capture the moments for my couples but also to be part of their story brings so much joy to my heart. I hope to be able to share this joy with you as your wedding photographer!

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… at home baking and cooking.

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… our honeymoon in Japan! We got to experience hot spring and traditional Japanese cuisine, and it was amazing!

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Thailand or Vietnam.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… creating the very first heirloom as a married couple for my clients.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… teach piano to little kids.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… enjoy being engaged! This special period of time will only last a short period of time, don’t be afraid to take your time in planning your wedding, and don’t be afraid to ask for help!

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… It’s so diverse, and I get to meet people from different background and have access to many kinds of cuisines.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… I love traveling, and even though I think it would be fun to live at different places for a short period of time, I love where I am right now in Washington DC.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? It’s too hard to pick just one…But if I have to pick one right at this moment, I would pick Spirited Away.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… the breakfast spread (and I mean at least 10 dishes!) from the hot spring hotel in Japan – it was the best and memorable breakfast/meal I’ve ever eaten!

THE PETS I OWN ARE… Mipha, my spunky Corgi girl!
