Love is all around us. It’s in subtle glances between lovers. A change in one’s expressions when they receive a gift. The way one expresses their deepest emotions to someone they trust. Love is not just something that you can show, but something you feel deep inside. To the naked eye, this can go unnoticed, but a camera can highlight the countless qualities of love shown between people.

Love in a photograph will be shared for generations and I want to help create those special moments with you. I want to document these moments that highlight fine art for the romantics at heart. My goal as a wedding photographer is to preserve all the in-between moments before they are long gone and forgotten.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… taking myself out to lunch and a movie! The movie theatre is definitely my happy place it’s one of my favourite ways to unwind and practice self care.

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… spending Thanksgiving weekend in London as my first ever solo trip. It was a spontaneous purchase made in the middle of midterms, but I’ve always loved traveling and got the chance to discover how lovely of a city London is.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Italy! For as long as I can remember, it’s been a dream of mine to visit Italy, especially the cities in the countryside. I want to spend a few months with an older Italian couple and learn how to cook authentic Italian cuisine and have my limited Italian-speaking skills strengthened.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… the ability to document lifelong memories and to keep them alive through my photographs. I love the idea of photographs being passed down generations to share what life was like at that moment and to showcase relationships between friends and lovers.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE… a writer, or at least working for a publishing house. Reading has always been part of my life since I was little and I have always dreamed of becoming a published author or working as a copy editor to assist in the production of novels.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE…book your wedding photographer early! I say this not because I am biased, but because I love to tell my couples that after the celebrations are over, your photos are all you have to look back on. Sometimes, your photographer will capture moments you didn’t even know were happening, or you’ll receive photographs of details you forgot about. So it’s important to find a photographer that you not only appreciate their style, but that you can trust to capture and deliver.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… I was born in Northern California and raised in Southern. The two regions are so different, culturally and geographically, and I feel at home no matter where I am in this state. Southern California has the beaches, the mountains, and the deserts within a few hours of a drive and there are very few locations worldwide that are so geographically diverse.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… either Italy or New Zealand. I visited the North Island when I was in high school and loved the pace of life and the beautiful landscapes everywhere I turned. It’s always felt like a great place to settle down and enjoy the rest of my life.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It’s slow-paced but hauntingly beautiful as it goes through the adventurous, moving, and curious life of a man born in 20th century New Orleans.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… a shoebox of an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. It was cramped and only lit by a few candles on every table, but the ambiance elevated the already delicious pasta dish and wine. It was an experience that felt like I was in a movie.
