ELEGANT. ROMANTIC. TIMELESS.

Essentially what photography is is life lit up.” -- Sam Abell

Inspired by the dusty rose and pale, dreamy blues of a morning sky set aglow by the rising sun, I aspire to turn everyday moments into fine art. I have infused my photography with an intimate understanding of colors, textures and fabrics from my time as a wedding gown designer, and there is no limit to the art we can create. Together.

A MULTICULTURAL ARTISAN

Hailing from China and fluent in Mandarin, I am proud of my ability to understand and relate easily with clients of many cultures and backgrounds. I am equally as adept at photographing a modern, Western wedding as I am at respecting the etiquette of a tea ceremony. Capturing unique cultural traditions is one of the most beautiful aspects of wedding photography, and one that I am particularly adept at performing.

LOVE FOR ART AND CLIENT

“A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.” – Annie Leibovitz

Serving primarily the Bay Area of California (but always up for a trip abroad), I have had the pleasure of meeting countless couples, and if there’s one thing I love most about wedding photography, it’s the opportunity to meet people in love. Each of them is unique, with an individual set of hopes and dreams for their wedding photography. Limiting the number of clients I take on, I am able to produce exceptional collections that truly capture the spirit of each wedding, of each couple, and I am invested in capturing every client at their most chic, sophisticated and stylish.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… having brunch, watching a movie or taking a hike in the mountains. I enjoy simply anything with the people I love, and creating memories together.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… Australia. I still haven’t been there! The Great Barrier Reef is calling my name.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… all the amazing places I get to visit and work, and the wonderful people I have met along the way – this includes my talented vendor friends and the beautiful couples I get to photograph!

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE/DO… I started my wedding dresses company right after I got my masters degree. If I didn’t turn from designer to photographer, I would still be designing dresses. I always knew I wanted to be a creative and entrepreneur.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… making the wedding about you and making sure to enjoy every second of it.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… nothing gets better than that California light. And we are blessed to have all the beautiful places close to us. Snowy mountains, sandy beaches, the redwoods, and more!

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… China. That’s where I grew up and always has a special place in my heart.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… It has to be the Chinese New Year dinner my mom puts on every year!

THE PETS I OWN ARE… Mr. Smeagol the Beagle. We got him when he was just a puppy 10 years ago when my husband and I were dating. He’s ageing to the point that he no longer can move like a puppy but he still acts like one!
