Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… together with my husband and our four children. Whether it’s a trip to the beach or a backyard game of football - making memories together is my favourite!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… visiting the Nā Pali Coast on Kauai during our honeymoon. From enjoying the beach with giant turtles, to the volcanic cliffs that were created millions of years ago - the island is filled with so much breathtaking natural beauty. The Hawaiian islands are truly a sacred place I hope to return to in the future!

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… I would love to revisit Italy. I have been so blessed to have lived in Germany for half of my life and traveled to so many amazing countries including Italy, France, England, Spain, Greece, and more. I have also explored so many beautiful parts of the U.S. from coast to coast during my 20 years here and loved visiting Hawaii on our honeymoon. I would love to return to Italy because of the beautiful countryside, delicious food and welcoming people!

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… that it doesn’t feel like a job. But really, being able to pause moments in time and create tangible memories to be shared with generations to come is an extreme honour.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE… working at a law firm. I graduated with a degree in the legal field and still find all things law related absolutely fascinating!

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE… do not over plan your wedding but instead focus on meaningful traditions and key elements that relate to your love and relationship. Incorporating every new trend you see on social media will not only lead to burn out, but also create an experience that doesn’t feel personal to your story.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… of the history that surrounds Washington, D.C. It is truly an honour to be able to photograph clients in our Nation’s Capitol; a city with such historical significance and architecture that dates back to the years of our Founding Fathers.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… Paris. Waking up to the view of the Eiffel Tower and falling asleep to it all lit up was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What a dream it would be to stroll along the Seine eating ‘croissants au chocolat’ while enjoying the French culture, fashion and art as part of my every day life.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… freshly steamed Maine lobster on the coast of Maine! From breakfast to dinner, I believe I had lobster with every meal during our time there and it was simply incredible.
