We are always fans of a garden wedding and Kaitlyn & Sam's classic celebration held in San Juan Capistrano and captured Northern California wedding photographer SARA WEIR took place at the secluded and enchanting FRANCISCAN GARDENS, Tucked away in the heart of this historic town, Franciscan Gardens’ elegant wooden gates and blossoming garden offered a charming environment for this intimate wedding that was officiated by a close family friend of the couple. The bride had always loved the romance of the gardens so it was an easy decision to hold the wedding there.
Entrusting Brie from PAVAN FLORAL with her ideas, Kaitlyn carried a modern bouquet of mostly cream blooms with a touch of buttery yellow. Colour was an important aspect as well as having a sculptural modern feel, which was also carried through the ceremony arch. When it came to her dress, she went with something sleek and modern to complement the florals and let them shine.
The wedding arch was a beautiful collaboration between both florist and photographer and really popped off the greenery background. Or course couldn’t have happened without the amazing trust of the bride as the changes were all made last minute to really make such a beautiful detail.
Their photographer SARA tells us, "The first look was especially beautiful. They each provided personal notes for each other that brought them both to tears. It was important to the bride that they take place under the arbor, and she was surprised that he basically wrote vows. It was a beautiful and quiet moment where the bride and groom could pause and take each other in before they both walked down the aisle."
