Portland Photographer

It all started with a single photograph- a picture of my family. Ever since then, I started taking pictures of places and people that I’ve connected with throughout my journey. Losing all other recorded memories of my childhood as a refugee, I fear not remembering things that matter most to me. Pictures ignite lustrous memories of special moments in time, transcribing a history of our voyages. Telling the stories of my couples - that delights and exhilarates me.

I shoot both film and digital in light and tender colours documenting precious moments and conveying your love story in the most beautiful and timeless way.   Whether a celebration of love, life milestones, family portraits or lifestyle, let's connect our untold stories and spring them to life, because this is where it all begins.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… I would go on an early morning run before the world awakened so that I could witness a glorious sunrise. Nothing beats the smell of morning dew, the freshness of the earth as the birds are chirping, and seeing the sun begin to show its appearance. It is the most peaceful and rewarding thing in the world. Afterwards, I would go on a brunch with my best friend or with my husband, Jay.

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… When I was traveling solo around the world for eight weeks climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekking Machu Picchu, exploring the ancient city in Southern China, an impromptu sailing trip in The Netherlands, and biking around Sweden witnessing Prince Phillips and Princess Sofia getting married.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… I would want to visit Morocco because of the sand, sea and dirt. Those three elements are what grounds me to explore the world that is full of colours such as Morocco. I live for those moments because colour bring a smile to my heart.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS… I love being in love as well as love itself. I love romantic stories, all things whimsical, timepieces, cheese, and gelato. I have a passion to transform and empower women to see beauty in all shapes and forms. I’m drawn to Picasso and Rembrant paintings and this is my inspiration for transforming my photography into fine arts.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD BE… a Chemical Engineer. Talk to me about quality and running.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE…that your wedding day is a celebration of union between the two of you. Celebrate it with grace and joy as it is your day to celebrate however you desire. Invest and get to know your photographer and a wedding planner, as they are your closest support system throughout your wedding planning process.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… Portland, Oregon is centrally located within an hour to the mountains, the coast, and the wineries. The Columbia Gorge is filled with beauties and many picturesque and amazing backdrops such as Mount Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helen. We have one of the best Pinot Noir and Pinot gris on the West Coast. The best beers and foods are located here in the heart of Portland, and if this is not enough we can venture up to Seattle by car (three hours drive) or additional three hours to Vancouver B.C, Canada. Whichever ambiance you desire, the PNW definitely has it all.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… I would live in Switzerland because Switzerland is the most beautiful country with the most stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps. Oh not to mention, the Swiss chocolates and the cheeses are the best.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? The Notebook.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I’VE EVER EATEN WAS… in southern France in Avignon. It was a simple yet delicious meal that was prepared by the family of the bed and breakfast place where I stayed at.

THE PETS I OWN ARE… I had adopted a pet bunny as we found each other late one night in July 2008. She was my first pet. Her name was Tanner Bee. She was my everything and the best pet I ever had.
